I was trying to understand the whole behavior of the project and more particularly the findCurrentTuple method, but there is still something that drives me crazy.

On the client (Excel or SSMS), how does the client send and/or how the assembly retrieves information concerning the EXACT cells the user selected ?

This project is basically a collection of useful sample code to show some of what is possible with .Net stored procedures.

Most of the time the server has no idea what cell is selected on the client side. It's really only if the user triggers and action that information about the current cell can be determined either by executing an expression for a rowset action or by using one of the drillthrough functions (see http://asstoredprocedures.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Drillthrough&referringTitle=Home ). Otherwise the client does not pass any information about where a user has clicked back to the server.
