Hi there,

Is it possible to store drill through result into SQL table or in CSV file somewhere on a Network shared location? I am working on cube and one of the requirement is when cube is browse using excel or Performance Point services report and when user selects particular slice from the cube and then click on to fire additional actions (Drillthrough) to get the raw data behind it, the result of that drill through query has to be stored in either SQL table or on Network shared location in CSV file so another application will use that result and process it accordingly.

This should be possible, you'd have to deploy such a procedure with elevated security privileges (either External or Unrestricted) and you'd have to set it up as a Rowset action as there is no way of injecting custom code into a drillthrough action.

If you look at our drillthrough examples you should be able to build something that combines the GetDefaultDrillthroughMDX() and ExecuteDrillthroughAndFixColumns() so that it executes the drillthrough command to a .Net table which you can then write out to SQL or a CSV before returning it to the client.
