Microsoft.AnalysisServices.xmla.dll is not available on my pc. I have win 7 with SQL 2008 SP1 (dev edition) and I can't find the dll anyware, even using the win 7 unhelpful search tool.Where can I get this resource so I can experiment with the ASSP project? Thanks,Gary

I think the problem is that the reference is set to SpecificVersion=true. We should test changing to SpecificVersion=false and see if that fixes the problem.

I think it depends on which project file is opened. We have projects for SSAS 2008 and 2005 and for those of us with both servers on our dev machines we had to set the SpecificVersion=True to stop VS grabbing the 2008 version when we wanted to compile for 2005.

I, too, have the same problem you are experiencing but I was also missing msmgdsrv.dll as well. I have Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition, SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition, and am running Windows 7 Professional. I will be watching this thread with great anticipation.

yes, that did the trick. Thank you

I mean setting SpecificVersion=true in the project file did the trick. I opened the solution in 2010 premium and added 2008 assemblies whichever was giving error and i was able to build successfully.
Thanks again
