GetCustomDrillthrougMDX truncation error in 1.3.9

description

Hi,

I'm testing the beta 1.3.9 to solve some issues at my company to deliver some specific actions that are not possible in standard SSAS.

The functions GetDefaultDrillthroughMDX does work for me with the new parameter to exclude the default member in the query. (Without it the query text is being truncated and results in an error)

The code is use for this is: ASSP.GetDefaultDrillthroughMDX([Measures].[Relation Count], True)

But, if i use GetCustomDrillthroughMDX the results seems to ignore the new boolean field. The query is still being truncated. (I can see that in the profiler)

The syntax I use is:
ASSP.GetCustomDrillthroughMDX("[Measures].[Relation Count], NAME([$Relation].[Relationaccount Name])", True)

This function seems very powerfull to me, because there is still a bug in SSAS returning correct results through an action.

Is there something else I need to try? or is this still a bug? Thanks in advance.

There is a bug in the new skipDefault members parameter in that the new logic does not get called if you have not passed a tuple to the function. So the short term workaround would be to put in something like [Measures].CurrentMember to act as a placeholder.

eg.
ASSP.GetCustomDrillthroughMDX("[Measures].[Relation Count], NAME([$Relation].[Relationaccount Name])", [Measures].CurrentMember, True)
This function seems very powerfull to me, because there is still a bug in SSAS returning correct results through an action.
I'm not sure what bug you are talking about here. We are just extending the native drillthrough functionality. The two functions you've used here don't manipulate the results at all.

I've added an updated beta release with a fix for this issue here I've tested on my machine and I can reproduce this issue with 1.3.9 and the 1.3.10 release fixes this for me. Can you double check it and make sure it works in your environment?
