ASSP.ClearFileSystemCache

Hello,

I have downloaded the source code of ASSP on:

http://asstoredprocedures.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=7228

and I want to build this project on Visual Studio 2005 (32 bit machine) and use the result of the build (ASSP.dll) in one IA64 machine.

I have built successfully the source code but when I go to Analysis Services 2005 and try to run the following command on the IA64 machine:

call ASSP.ClearFileSystemCache()

I got this error:

Executing the query ...

Internal error: An unexpected exception occured.

Execution of the managed stored procedure  failed with the following error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation..

Execution complete

Could you help me to solve this problem?

It's in the source code, but not in the release (which was released months ago). We haven't done a new release which includes it yet. So download the source code http://asstoredprocedures.codeplex.com/SourceControl/ListDownloadableCommits.aspx and compile it yourself for now.

The following sometimes works on x64, I'm not sure if it is the same for IA64...

But, you could try going into the build tab in the project properties and try setting the CPU target to x86.

Currently it is set to "Any CPU" which means that the JIT compiler will convert the IL to IA64 instructions, but it could be that some of our dependancies are x86.
