Release Notes

Release 1.3.7 contains the following new functionality:
The .zip files are a zipped ASSP.dll file. Use this if you want to deploy the DLL yourself. Make sure to unblock the DLL after unzipping it.

The .xmla files are the XMLA script to deploy ASSP without needing the DLL file.

See the Installation Instructions, especially for AS2012 which requires unblocking the DLL before adding it as an assembly in AS2012.
  • Use ASSP 2014 for Analysis Services 2014
  • Use ASSP 2012 for Analysis Services 2012
  • Use ASSP 2008 for Analysis Services 2008 and 2008 R2
  • SQLQuery v1.3.5 is a generic DLL that can be deployed to Analysis Services 2005-2014.
  • Analysis Services 2005 isn't being included in ASSP releases. See the last ASSP 2005 release

Reviews for this release

I could query the database via ssms but cant generate a report using this as it gives me an error "Failed to parse the cube name from the query. (Microsoft.ReportingServices.QueryDesigners)"

This is not an ASSP error it's coming from Reporting Services. If you switch the query over to DMX mode it should fix this issue.

I'm running SSAS 2012. Downloaded for the percentile functions. Works brilliantly. I was trying to create the DLL myself for approx. 3 days with no success. Note I did have to "unblock" the file for it to work: Find file in windows explorer -> Right Click-> Properties-> General Tab-> Unblock .... Thankyou.

Please note that it has some issues with SQL Server 2014 SP1 CU3.
